The EROM V1 release document introduces eight linked control systems for the 2024+ Tacoma 2.4L turbo. The platform brings boost, load, torque, transmission behavior and fuel adaptation into one calibration architecture.
Boost and load control
- Four live map slots: calibrator-defined boost/load ceilings selected with the factory cruise-control buttons.
- Expanded load targeting: removal of the stock 320 load-target ceiling, with final limits defined for the calibration and hardware.
- Boost Reserve: a conditional strategy designed to prepare turbo response during qualifying partial-throttle operation.
- Boost by gear: separate RPM-based authority for first through eighth gear in the documented automatic application.
A connected driveline strategy
The release describes a torque-based shift-control rewrite and Tow T-Max. The towing strategy combines boost readiness, torque control, load targeting and gear selection as the driving demand changes.
Fuel adaptation
The document describes inferred-ethanol fuel and ignition scaling through supported blends up to E50, plus enhanced KCLV-based octane adaptation. These are calibration-dependent capabilities. The compatible file, fuel system, hardware and validation determine the usable range for an individual truck.
Use the release PDF as the feature overview, then confirm the supported ECU ID and available calibration for your vehicle through VF Tuner support. The document does not provide a measured horsepower-gain figure.
